The monument is located in the Hauptstroos, the E421

Monument for the 6th US Armored Division. With a US 105mm Howitzer and a German 88mm gun on both sides of the monument.

The advance of the 6th US Armored division in January 1945.

The monument was erected by the community of Heinerscheid 8th June 1988.

Historical note: Eighteen US light Honey tanks of the 707th Tank brigade where destroyed near Heinerscheid during the German advance in the Ardennes.
