My own collection

I, the webmaster of this website am a collector of ww2 memoribilia. On this page I want to give you a small impression of my collection. Not all of it is directly related to the battle of the bulge. With my collection I am trying to give a more general overview of the war and therfore there are not only items related to the battle of the bulge but also, naval uniforms, Dutch uniforms from before the war, items related to the resistance and items related to the every day life under German occupation.

Several uniforms
In the picture you can see an American Lt. wearing an M43 jacket, an Canadian soldier of an Armoured division, wearing a tank coverall, an Dutch resistance fighter, wearing an orange arm band indicating his role in the resistance an a pre war helmet. These armbands were worn by the dutch fighters during the days of the liberation. On the ground are a crate for 25 pounder shell cases, a crate that carried two cans of welfare buscuits and a british jerry can.

Canadian officer
This Canadian officer is part of the 1st Canadian Infantry Division.
British despatchdriver
British despatch driver, wearing a special despatch driver helmet and his winter uniform. These despatch drivers kept up communications between headquarters, there where normal lines of communication had not yet been established.
First Aid dressing
Two American and a British first aid dressing.

This private is wearing an Ike jacket. The jacket is named after the allied supreme commander who often wore these jackets. On his shoulder you can see the Indian Head patch of the 2nd Infantry Division.
German equipment

British soldier of the Parachute Infantry Regiment. The jacket is post-war, the equimpent is wartime.
American equipment
The equipment that kept the American soldier alive, waterbottles and an entrenching tool.
